| Airtel BharatMatrimony Voice Chat |
|
Airtel had introduced 696 Mobile Chat. The service is a pure rip off at Rs 6 / Minute / Call. Why is it a Rip Off ? Because Airtel had all fake profiles and the software is poorly designed which doesn't let you navigate as you want to, and you waste enough time burning Rs 6 / Minute.
BharatMatrimony in an attempt to generate more revenues has tied up with Airtel to introduce Voice Chat for its members. At least I hope Bharatmatrimony will not resort to activities like Match.com and Yahoo! Personals did - Fake Female profiles to attract male customers. In any case, we recommend users not to subscribe to this service because of poor customization of the Voice Software by Airtel. This service also costs you Rs 6 / Minute so better to AVOID. |

First it was about miscreants using Bharat matrimony for putting up their fake profiles, now something new to criticize the new feature. This facility is only an added feature to your profile. It is going to be just a recorded message which a prospective bride or groom is going to listen to and nothing more. This shouldn’t be misinterpreted with voice chat. One has to understand, that the contact details will be provided only by Bharat Matrimony and also only to people whose profiles have been verified and not to any Tom, Dick and Harry. Regarding the cost: when people can pay huge amounts for something as useless as dialer tunes, they might as well shell out this small amount for listening to the voices of their prospective spouses!

Hello... they can always embed a voice file on the respective user profiles... what's the need to charge Rs. 6 per min. for that???!!!
To use the service, one needs to use a computer to view the profile and them a cellphone to make a call and pay Rs. 6 per min.
It's all for money making.

Who doesn't have a cell phone these days? I feel its a lot easier and practical doing it this way. How many people will have a microphone along with their computer to record their voices? When it comes to the matter of choosing a life partner, 6 rupees is never going to be a problem. If it really is, they would not even take the efforts to find their partner through the portal by paying cash. They might as well go thro brokers or advertise in classifieds of newspapers.
