| Subscriber Numbers + SMS Craze |

India now has 200 million wireless subscribers. Most of them in the pre-paid segment [~85%]. 148 million are on the GSM platform and the remaining on CDMA.
Indians are crazy about SMS and this is visible by the number of SMSs Indians sent to vote for the Indian Idol - whopping 70 Million premium messages. |
