| BSNL Mobile TV Live in Chennai |

 BSNL's Mobile TV service is no live in Chennai. The service is available to any BSNL customer in Chennai [Pre/Post Paid].
To avail this service, the customers must have enabled GPRS [You also need to have GPRS supporting mobile handset] and need to SMS MYTV to 55447 and follow the response SMS.
Presently, the following channels are available, NDTV, AAJTAK, CNBC, CARTOON NETWORK, TIMES NOW, ZOOM, BINDASS, CNN-MOBILE. Introductory charges are very low. However, make sure about your GPRS data download charges before activating and enjoying the Mobile TV.
I have Airtel GPRS enabled on my N70 and it takes long time to even check my Gmail on the handset or even searching for a restaurant on OnYoMo. So with such low bandwidth, I am wondering what is the fate of Mobile TV ?

| Nokia N82 Available at your priority dealer |

 The much awaited phone from Nokia's popular N-Series, Nokia N82 is now available in India. It is a multimedia mobile phone like any other phone in the N Series optimized for photography, navigation and internet connectivity. The phone does offer photography enthusiasts an enhanced camera experience with its 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with a Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss optics. It also has GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity like your iPhone.
Mr. Vineet Taneja, Business Director of Nokia India said,
In addition to the high-end camera, the Nokia N82 also enables users to navigate and discover new places, enjoy their music, browse the web, play games, chat online and be part of the global web 2.0 community wherever they go. Thanks to the wireless broadband connectivity, convergence and its increased performance, the Nokia N82 is all people need in their pocket! Overall N82 is a candy bar design, with a large 2.4inch LCD QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) TFT color display with up to 16.7 million colours. N82 comes loaded with Nokia Maps software, and is supplied with trial voice-navigation software in the box. 3G complaint with Video Calling and Bluetooth for short range communication and micro USB for PC connectivity.
Nokia N82 has 100 MB of built in-memory and a 2GB micro SD Card powered by Symbian OS. Suggested retail price in India is Rs 27,999. |

| Paymate Kicks off m-Commerce |

 We have successfully tested Mobile Payment service from Paymate thus paving way for m-Commerce in India. It was an unbelievable experience, so seamless with all the gateways involved, we are inclined to rate it as "A" grade service.
 I was casually going through one of the blogs and I bumped into this banner of Giftmate [A Subsidiary of Paymate] which said "Get a Free Gift Voucher worth Rs 250" Clicking on it, I was taken to a short survey on Mobile Payment system. After the survey, bingo! I received the SMS that you can all see to your left.
 I was a little bit over excited about this payment platform and decided to give it a shot. Without even reading the terms and conditions about the Rs 250 gift voucher being really FREE, I browsed through the list of merchants who would accept Paymate for payments and within the next 3 minutes I was ready to check out. When I confirmed Paymate on merchant site [Indiaplaza] and entered my Mobile number I got an SMS to confirm my payment as shown on your right. Jeez!!! I am a slow typer, so it took me around 90 seconds to confirm via SMS and when I did, the payment was all done :-)
 I got the SMS [see on your left] which confirms that the payment using my mobile was successful and also lists the transaction id.
You can add more money to your mobile using a Credit Card or Bank account. They are also expanding the number of banks through which you can add money as well as the list of merchants accepting Paymate.
